we had a fantastic time at the clytha arms! the food was just lovley, especially the venison in rioja and that breakfast was to die for. also, the staff were super friendly and accommodating, made us feel right at home. the atmosphere was really cozy with a lovely pub vibe. plus, we could bring our puppy which was a big plus!

the room was a bit tired looking and the pillows could use an update.

    cozy atmosphere
    delicious evening meals
    traditional welsh breakfast
    dated pillows
    slightly tired room

I was here for a short business trip and found it to be a refreshing escape from typical hotels. The cozy atmosphere and delicious evening meals were highlights, especially the venison in Rioja. Breakfast was also top-notch, with a traditional Welsh breakfast that was perfectly prepared. While the pillows could use an upgrade, the overall experience was enjoyable and felt like a home away from home.

    inconsistent service

    ragged dining area

An inn rich in character, warmly greeted by friendly staff. The spacious room featured quality bedding and a cozy sitting area, with a selection of teas and snacks. Dinner offered locally sourced cuisine with excellent vegetarian options, although the service could be inconsistent, with some missed table settings. The grounds outside provided a perfect space for children to play.

The friendly hosts made our stay feel like home. We particularly enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast, featuring haddock & poached eggs and topped off with strong coffee. The spacious room offered a separate sitting area, and the selection of vegan options at dinner was a pleasant surprise. High-quality toiletries were a nice touch, though the bathroom could use some updating.

    traditional welsh breakfast
    friendly staff
    evening menu
    slow wifi
    cramped bed

The breakfast was a real treat, especially the traditional Welsh breakfast that was freshly cooked and bursting with flavor. The relaxed vibe made it feel like home, with friendly staff who treated us like family. Plus, the evening menu was dotted with divine options!

The WiFi was a bit slow, making my husband's tall 4-post bed feel a tad cramped, but honestly, that was just a minor footnote in an otherwise stellar stay.
